I agree.. I tried the onboard Radeon cards on my Mythbox and my music studio box
and had nothing but pain.. 

Why bother when Nvidia has VDPAU already implemented and working reasonably well...

With regards to the problem above it may be a legacy issue.... I started having
numerous problems with an AGP 5700 card a few month back, before utilising a
spare mobo for VDPAU..
