[mythtv-users] transcode ripped DVD segfault on mythbuntu

Greetings:

Ripping is ok, if I choose perfect no errors, but if I choose good or
medium quality it dies about 20 minutes into the transcoding.

uname -a

UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Mythbuntu-8.04

error in /var/log/message:

kernel: [ 8527.099548] transcode[9130]: segfault at bfccf1f4 ip
b22d4206 sp bfcaf150 error 4 in libxvidcore.so.4.1[b2261000+a4000]


I'm new to myth so I don't even know where to start.  I tried
transcode from the command line and it dies too.  Slowly the frame
rate decreases and at about the 5 minute mark dies.
