Yes that would be allowed (IANAL).  However, that is not what boxee did.
 There is no HTML rendering whatsoever in Boxee.  It does not render
HTML at all.  The discussions that different browers render HTML
differently is a red herring, when they say "other websites" they mean
HTML and the best attempt to render it.
