I also note (from previous tests) that /dev/video2 will
appear/disappear as the camera is connected/disconnected
(/dev/video[01] is used by my Hauppauge PVR-500).


So everything looks fine - except that Skype says "no device found"
when trying to configure the video...Ekiga says the same.  Can anyone
tell me what I might be missing, or where else I might look?
