[mythtv-users] Help Setting up serial IR blaster for Comcast/Pace DC50X

I'm trying to set up the irblaster from irblaster.info.This is
connected to COM1.   I'm trying to setup a serial transmitter to send
IR codes to the pace DX50C whose composite output will be connected to
a PVR-250.  I'm on gentoo and I've got lirc_sir  working, I think.

But, I don't see any output to the IR transmitter when using irsend
(and I've used my camera just in case I couldn't see it.) .  I've
tried:

$  irsend send_once --count=50 DC50X 2 select
and
$  irsend send_once DC50X 2

but, don't see the transmitter flash.

Any help much appreciated!

Here are some particulars: Please let me know if these conf files are wrong.
