No I have no problems on my OC 9500GT with overlays.

I also have a Gainward 567MHz 8400GS, and I can not remember having any
trouble with overlays on that one either. The reason I bought the 9500 was
that the 8400GS was not able to do advanced deinterlacing on HD material.
