No likely, The M card is paired with the box.  If you wanted to switch the
box you would need ur Cable Co permission to do so.  Most likely Comcast
will not activate the M card on a box that is not thiers.  You could call
them and ask if they will or not.  In regards to the DVR who knows.  I am
not sure if something comes down the wire that signals the box for DVR
features or not.
