Because too many of the GUI elements outside of myth are completely
unusable at 640x480. I know I don't go out there much, but it is worth
it for when I do. Also the quality difference is not perceptible, it
is SD after all. Third there is significant overscan so if I set it to
640x480 I actually get much less then that after I have adjusted the
screen.
