Just a late note.   There is no deinterlacer used on 720p.  It is a progressive
format not an interlaced one.    Your DVDs are also progressive these days
normally.      

You only use the deinterlacer on 1080i and 480i and some content you download
from the net.   The mpeg decoder you use on all content.
