I have to agree with Richard. I have MANY more than 3000 songs and before I
discovered MusicBrainz Picard, I manually moved all my songs into folders by
Artist. That took FOREVER. Then I used EasyTag to tag up the files. I
have a mix of FLAC and MP3 files. EasyTag is a nice software program, but I
found MBP to be MUCH better. You simply drag your files into the left
pane. It automatically searches the MB DB to find the closest matches. If
it doesn't match correctly, you can (in the app) search the track, album, or
artist. It will bring up your Internet browser and you can then search
their DB for the correct entry. Once you find it, there's a button on the
album called "Tagger". It automatically imports the album tag info into
Picard and you simply drag and drop the song into the correct album. It's
CRAZY easy. Picard can also rename the track however you like. I have set
it up to do:

Artist\Year - Album\Track# - Artist - Title.ext

It's fast and easy. Highly recommended.

Jim
