[mythtv-users] Increasing Buffering?

One of my frontends is a laptop (Ubuntu 9.10 pentium M 1.6GHZm Intel 855
Graphics, 802,11n wireless usb adapter). I run the myth trunk.

It does well on SD and 720P.

On 1080i its not bad. It generally works pretty well with maybe a
momentary freeze every few minutes. However, every once in a while the
freeze is more than momentary and myth drops back to the recorded list.
To make it worse, even though I have the setting that bookmarks position
on manual exit, it doesn't do that when it exits on freeze. So when I
start it again I have to find my place.

Some combination of cpu, graphics and wireless bandwidth is just too
much for 1080i. It does seem to freeze less if I'm closer to the
wireless router, but I can't really do anything about that.

I'm wondering if there is some way to increase the buffering to at least
make the player survive the fatal freezes. This happens only a few
times an hour. Failing that it would help if the player bookmarked on
error exit.
