[mythtv-users] HD-PVR Mythdora question

    I've been on this list for a couple of years now and I typically use it to pick up little tricks others generously offer or to bridge the syntax gap from BSD to Linux and help me troubleshoot my own system. This last week I've had a problem I can't quite grasp. I am running Mythdora  10.21 which was updated to .22 through atrpms. I have been running a pvr-500 for a couple of years with one tuner capturing DirecTv and the other OTA both through s-video.  After running .22 for a week and not having any real problems I decided to try my HD-pvr in standard definition. I've gone through the wiki page a dozen times updated the firmware on a windows machine twice, deleted and re-setup the capture cards in setup and searched both this and Mythdora's site and still have no clue what to do next.
     I can cat /dev/video0 >file.ts and get a great recording but if I try to record or play live TV through Myth the "blue light" comes on for about 2 seconds goes out and the recording fails. I have found similar logs to mine but nothing that makes any difference to my system. I've decided I'm either gone blind or stupid and I would guess someone here could give me clue which one is the more likely.  My pvr-500 still works the HD-pvr uses /bin/true for channel change and backend log entry is typical. Also similar log files are shown in the links below with no helpful answers.
