Yes I've had similar problems with my 2 PCHDTV5500 cards to the point 
where I've stopped using them. the problems started Sep. 24. I suspect 
that there must have been an update to the system (kernel maybe?) that 
has caused this problem. I'm running mythbuntu 9.04 with kernel 
2.6.28-15-generic and mythtv:
