[mythtv-users] database surgery or not?

Folks,

I have a funny problem: my LiveTV group has a bunch of shows in it
that are long expired; and they just sit there.  All are from some
earlier build of trunk I was using.

I can't delete these from inside the MythTV user interface: nothing
happens.  The recordings on disk are long gone (I think).

Any advice on tossing these duds?  As near as I can tell, they just
slow down browsing the recordings menu for me...
