No problems with the nVidia driver 190.36 running here. Its my 
understanding that the 185 driver has a few bugs and you may have just 
run into one of them. I would try upgrading your driver to the 190 
series. My display pans noticably more smoothly than with the 185 
driver.  Its also possible that you have defective hardware too since 
you are seeing a hardware related error.  Do you have an extra video 
card to try?
