I'll throw in my 2 cents.  In theory, yes, it's possible to do what
you want to do.  In practice, even if it works, it's probably not
worth the effort.

The 350 can only decode MPEG2, so you have to decode in software and
use the XVideo interface provided by the 350 X server.  Since I'm
pretty sure the 350 can only handle video that is 720x480 or less, you
have to downscale in software.  At this point, you are much better off
getting an old nvidia card with s-video or composite output and using
that instead.
