And broken capture card drivers that can not handle a system time change 
during recording (which is what I'm 99% positive occurred, as Myth has 
always done the right thing for me, as long as I accounted for the 
change in the rule for the intra-changeover episode).

I still haven't gotten a chance to look at the logs that were posted nor 
run some tests on my development (trunk) system, but will do so soon.  
However, the approach raptor jr used is the proper approach that has 
always worked in MythTV in the past, so unless there's a new issue in 
trunk, it's not Myth that broke.
