[mythtv-users] upgraded mytbuntu 9.10, Control-Centre Failing

I did a network upgrade for my MythBuntu 9.04 pc - things went poorly, my
fault :) I did it remotely using ssh (sudo do-release-upgrade) and the network
connection failed halfway through. I managed to get onto the console and run a
"dpkg --configure -a" which seemed to complete everything, it boots fine and
reports 9.10 installed.

I had YVA's 0.21-fixes repo installed and disabled it before the upgrade, and
ended up with a unholy mix of 0.21 and 0.22. I ended purging *every* myth
package I could find.

How *NOT* to do your upgrade folks :) At least I backed up my DB and stored it
on another pc.

Have reinstalled mythbuntu-control-centre and attempting to use it to
reinstall the back/front end, however it fails and I get this on the console:

"dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The
name org.debian.apt was not provided by any .service files"

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
