[mythtv-users] Am I getting full channel sound?

5.1 Surround AC3 is sent as a stereo 48kHz PCM over the spdif output.
So the output you listed, unfortunately, doesn't give much information
.

However, in the log you provided, the AC3 you played is a stereo one,
not a 5.1 channel

Here it would show 6 channels if it was a surround audio track

Now that is normal with the current audio code in mythtv. If you are
using digital passthrough, make sure you set the audio type in mythtv
-> setup -> general -> audio as Stereo and not 5.1
