Howdy

I am connecting this Samsung CRT TV up using an NVIDIA (9400GT) card over component.

It runs OK @ a default 1024x768 however I cannot get it to run at 720p (1280x720 or 1080i | 1920x1080). (Blank blue screen)

The below settings work fine on a similar Sony CRT 32" TV. (HX32 and also DA32!)

In xorg.conf I have:

Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Monitor0"
    VendorName "Unknown"
    ModelName "TV-0"
    HorizSync 24.0 - 82.0
    VertRefresh 50.0 - 75.0
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Screen0"
    Device "Device0"
    Monitor "Monitor0"
    DefaultDepth 24
    Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"
    Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPONENT"
    Option "NoLogo" "True"
    Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
    Option "TwinView" "0"
Option "metamodes" "TV: 1280x720 +0+0" #!!!Comment out for 1080i else ok as default
#720p options:
# Option "TVStandard" "HD720p" #DOES NOT WORK ON THE SAMSUNG
#1080i options:
# Option "TVStandard" "HD1080i" #DOES NOT WORK ON THE SAMSUNG
# Option "metamodes" "TV: 1280x720 +0+0"
# Option "UseEvents" "0" #Not sure where this goes however default seems to be off in any event so not an issue?
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 24
    EndSubSection
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
    Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

I am not sure if HorizSync = 24.0 - 82.0 and VertRefresh = 50.0 - 75.0 are correct for this TV?

It seems I cannot not download its EDID settings file.

What do I need to do to get it to run @ 720p and 1080i, which it is capable of doing....
