I am running the standard fixes release.  Since the machine was able
to do HD before it should be able to do at least SD with a fancier
video card.  I didn't want to show up with the backported fixes
release and have everyone on the users list shout "dev issue" and
everyone on the dev list shout "unsupported side branch!" so I am just
using the vanilla release for now.
