[mythtv-users] long pauses after s2ram using nfsroot

Hi everybody,

A while back, after a motherboard upgrade on my frontend, I started using
suspend to RAM instead of powering off. This works great, sometimes.
However sometimes I get some very long pauses with a blank screen. After a
few minutes the frontend pops up and everything works just fine until I
suspend again.

Now I'm using network booting for this frontend with the root drive on NFS,
so I figured that the combination of nfsroot and suspend to RAM was causing
the problem.

I had a look in the logs, and searched for nfs, and saw these entries (there
are plenty more):

Sep 17 15:28:58 localhost kernel: [51228.916010] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 17 15:29:34 localhost kernel: [51265.006266] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK
Sep 18 08:59:54 localhost kernel: [54149.704009] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 18 09:02:06 localhost kernel: [54281.704003] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK
Sep 19 08:52:40 localhost kernel: [55799.528009] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 19 08:56:40 localhost kernel: [56039.559949] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK
Sep 19 19:42:42 localhost kernel: [84987.776010] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 19 19:46:42 localhost kernel: [85227.777057] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK
Sep 20 16:34:20 localhost kernel: [92907.864010] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 20 16:38:20 localhost kernel: [93147.931096] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK
Sep 21 10:38:50 localhost kernel: [113646.616010] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 not
responding, still trying
Sep 21 10:42:50 localhost kernel: [113886.617898] nfs: server 192.168.0.1 OK

There are no entries between each not responding/ok pair, and during that time
I can't ssh in to the box. The strange thing is that apart from the first
two, each hang is EXACTLY 4 minutes long. The first two are the first
suspends after a reboot.

Anyone know what I can do about this?

Mark
