Help!

I am totally clueless as to what is going on here. I am losing random recordings. They SAY that they are recording, mythweb and myth frontend both say that they are recording, and the HDD light is going on while they are recording.

The only errors I see are when I go to pull the video up, and the preview starts to barf.

I have lost 7 recordings, but seemingly randomly. Tonight I have lost all 4 I believe.

My only theory so far may be that my wireless connection is dropping at random times, and then the recording fails? Is this possibly it?

A little about my setup. I am running a master/slave combined, but in anticipation of adding more frontends and/or backends, I am using a real IP address in all my configs. I am running this off wireless, but as near as I can tell, it has been fine.

My OS is on one hard drive, and all my recordings are on a pair of 500GB hard drives in a software raid 1.

The machine is running Xubuntu 9.04 that I have installed the Myth packages. I am running the stock ubuntu mythtv-fixes packages.

I posted my logs tonight as soon as I realized one recording didn’t record to:

<http://mythbuntu.pastebin.com/fb0218d8>

Perhaps someone can see something. I am fairly new to Myth, but feel that I am reasonably Linux/Ubuntu adept.

Please help. I am losing WAF, CAF, and Supernatural!!

Thanks,

Jim
