[mythtv-users] Problem playing some 5.1 audio.

In a 2-way process it can be done, if I do understand 'I am trying to 
figure out how to cut it up' correct.

First convert source.mpg to source.mp with MP4Box

MP4Box -add source.mpg source.mp4

then with mkvmerge, which is cli, or mmg, which has a gui, load 
source.mp4 and use the 'Global / Enable splitting' option to cut it the 
way you want.
PS. 'check' AAC is SBR/HE-AAC/AAC+ button of the A_AAC Format specific 
options.
