Funny you post this right now, I was thinking about this specific
issue yesterday. My parents have an old 0.21 box running, which I was
planning on upgrading to 0.23. This would allow them to watch the new
free-to-air channels in Denmark, which have been unwatchable until the
FFMPEG sync in 0.23. Unfortunately, this upgrade to 0.23 will also
introduce the bug in #6753, which also affects their existing channels
:-/ So I've had to put the upgrade on hold for now.

If you need help with testing of patches etc, count me in...and I know
of at least two other persons who would also gladly help out with
testing, in order to get this bug nailed.
