[mythtv-users] Any luck with a DCX-3200 and firwewire?

Has anyone had luck with a Motorola DCX-3200 box and firewire yet? Given
that I see the vendor and model ID showing in the 6200ch contrib file as
well as firewiredevice.cpp, I would assume so.

When I ran mythtv-setup, it correctly detected the box and I chose
DCX-3200. However, when I started the backend, it crashed. The logs
reported the following:

2010-04-07 19:54:39.707 FireChan(0024A0FFFE5AA870), Error: Model: 'DCX-3200'
is not supported.
2010-04-07 19:54:39.716 mythbackend: Problem with capture cards: Card 5
failed init
2010-04-07 19:54:39.721 MythBackend, Error: No valid capture cards are
defined in the database.
                        Perhaps you should re-read the installation
instructions?

Since I was allowed to add the box in setup, I thought this was odd and
re-ran the init script. 3 times it crashed. I went in and changed the box
type to DCH-3200 and it started normally. I was not, however, able to tune
using that box. I looked into the source and found that in
"mythtv/libs/libmythtv/firewiredevice.cpp", my box isn't listed under "bool
FirewireDevice::IsSTBSupported(const QString &panel_model)"

So, I added "(model == "DCX-3200") ||" as a line, recompiled changed the box
type back to DCX-3200 and started the backend without issue.

I still cannot tune using this box. On my primary backend, I am currently
using a DCH-3200 without issue.

I have also been seeing errors like "rom1394_1 warning: read failed:
0x0000fffff000040c". A separate frontend states there is an error with
tuner associated with the new slave backend.

Below are what the utilities suggested under the wiki use. Any
suggestions or should I give up and trade the box in?
