I use hdpvr with live recording. It mostly works. I had to apply the
patches mentioned on the hdpvr wiki. Unfortunately the patches cause
problems with channel changing on my pvr-250 & pvr-500 cards (in the
way of front-end crashes and sometimes takes the back-end with it).
In other words, there is some flakeyness that I haven't pursued.
