I've tried both scanning with the tuning file (not updated) and full scans
in mythtv-setup.  Both methods produced a difference in channel line ups
depending on which card was used, the latter gave me all sorts of horror
with conflicting channels, not the most fun way to pass time :)

Not sure what my signal levels are like - I'll have to check, not at my
machine atm.
