www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-1800) this is where I got
all my information. I also noticed that support for this card was built
into the kernel at 2.6.25. I originally got this working under feisty which
required me to build the driver modules. Now, I don't think it is
necessary. The link shows that the analog does not work with this card
(NTSC) and only the ATSC is supported. ATSC is all I am using it for (OTA
from an outside antenna). It should be connected to the third (from the
top) connector on the card. (Top - Radio, Middle - NTSC, Bottom (third) -
ATSC).

It's not clear from your dmesg output that the firmware is actually being
loaded. Here is the rest of my startup:

[ 15.744152] cx25840 4-0044: loaded v4l-cx23885-avcore-01.fw firmware

The device I use within mythTV is /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0.
