Don't get me wrong. I'm definitely in the camp of thinking live tv is
important, and that future improvements would be very welcome, but

1) Lack of conflict with 'R' invoked recordings is far less important
than lack of conflict with scheduled ones. That's because, as far as
I know, although MythTv users use live tv, they almost never do so
to watch something they knew up front that they were interested in, and
the only reason to press 'R' is to go to bed or out, and not to watch
something else that is live. (I may be wrong but I imagine that is
true).

2) Given 2, I expect a lot of people reading your post didn't read it
thoroughly and just thought "recording/live tv conflict".


Still nice if it was all fixed though. :-)
