If I have to, I'll give it ago, but I really did want a set and forget
solution :( I knew I might have to live with some glitches, but I can work
with that.

I didn't do anything other than install Mythbuntu, this is a fresh "out the
box" install, every time I install it I tell it to delete and partition the
whole disk.

I cannot create the directory, the option is grayed out in the File Manager
and much to my surprise typing "md directoryname" at the console results in
an error to the effect that there is no such command. I'm convinced I've
used that command on other linux installs :S

However, when I run the command sans the "-l /var/log/mythtb/myfrontend" bit
the result I get is

[2] 2392
[1] Exit 127
[2]+ Segmentation fault

and now I am totally lost.
