A special case, but if I Samba mount my recordings directory on the XP machine that's running the PlayOn server, and watch 
it with a UPnP viewer using the "My Media" feature of PlayON, I can go past what was recorded when I started. This is 
probably because PlayOn is used to dealing with data that is incoming as it plays.

I don't actually do this, but it worked when I did a "proof of concept" test.
