[mythtv-users] After upgrade, can't play mkv files

A wild guess: r27344 (I have no idea what that is translated into on
Git) makes some changes to the buffer used to detect the A/V codec.
After this commit, I'm able to playback several MPEG1 clips which are
unplayable on 0.24-fixes. I haven't tested any mkv files after this
commit, so I don't know if it is this commit causing regressions. This
might be totally unrelated, I just got to think about it, when you
mentioned playback problems on trunk vs. 0.24-fixes.
