For the record, I had also been noticing that mythfrontend trunk would
crash instantly when I tried to activate time stretch. This is on an old
Celeron system (relying on VDPAU for rendering). The crashes do not
occur on my other frontends (one a dual core 32-bit Pentium 4 and the
other AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ .


I plan to try recompiling on the problem machine with --disable-sse3 and
see if that helps. But I need a good block of time for this because the
old Celeron is very slow to compile (takes a couple of hours to
completely recompile after "make distclean").
