Hi;

Start the backend,
And the frontend,
Tail the backend log like you did,
Use the --setverbose as above,
Change channels on the frontend

Watch for:
2010-12-28 15:00:28.843 Verbose level changed, new level is:  ...
2010-12-28 15:03:12.066 Launching: <your program here>
2010-12-28 15:03:12.076 PID # launched
2010-12-28 15:03:12.191 PID #: exited: status=?, result=?

Or, you can just start the backend with -v general,important,extra
and omit the ... --serverbose ... line.

I assumed your backend & frontend were already running. Oops.
