[mythtv-users] Change file extension - based on decoder

Hi,

I'm wondering if the following is possible. I have three encoders, two
analog and one DVB. The first two will create MPEG-PS files, while the
third creates DVB compliant MPEG-TS files. However, the encoders carry
the same channels, so depending on scheduling priorities etc, a
recording can either come from analog or from DVB. What I would like
to do is to rename the files from the DVB encoder to .ts, while the
recordings from the analog encoders remain as .mpg. This way other,
less intelligent OS's and players can still determine what type the
file is. I've googled, but not found an answer. Do I create a user
job? That does not have the decoder as an input parameter (but I could
manually check the file type) but also will not let me rename the file
without going directly into the database. Any better suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark
