Mike,
The current OS disk is a 1T Samsung. Although the log files are running 
to several megabytes the combined file sizes including existing 
recordings are barely touching the sides of the HDD.

I rebuilt the system again last night and let it record from four 
different channels for the last few hours to see if  that would break 
it. It hasn't so far and the logs are not reporting anything unusual. Yet.
