[mythtv-users] Trashed file system after "Video frame buffering failed too many times"

OK, going through some backups I managed to establish that just before a 
crash the backend log writes a bunch of stuff like this

At some point the log is no longer written because the file system 
becomes read only, for reasons that are beyond my limited cranial 
capacity to understand.

My reading of it is that a poor signal may be contributing. This would 
make sense. The weather has been unseasonal and there has been picture 
breakup when viewing or recording.
