The lirc drivers are patched into the kernel.
I'm currently at a loss as to why your'e seeing that reference to
major 61, but it certainly looks to be relevant to things not
working... Do you have any modprobe.conf or /etc/modprobe.d/foo files
that reference major 61 at all?
