> That's true.  I just went into LiveTV to see, and it's bright in there as well.  Pressing the left arrow on my remote only raises the brightness.  However, if I use my keyboard, I can lower it.  So I guess the left arrow isn't mapped on my remote as I had thought.

If you have it configured in the frontend setups it will show up as an
option when you press the Menu key(m).  It can be adjusted from there
using just the arrow keys.
