I don't know the answer to your specific question, but Jumbo Frames
are limited to a single subnet so all devices in that subnet would
have to be able to support Jumbo frames or it will result in worse
performance then not using Jumbo Frames at all.
If you have a desire to use them, as long as you have a router between
the IP subnet using Jumbo frames and any other part of your LAN that
can't support them, it could at least be beneficial for devices on
that one particular subnet.  Of course that router will have to also
havean interface that supports Jumbo frames on that connected
interface.

As far as calling anything that does support Jumbo frames Ethernet,
well, technically those aren't Ethernet anymore, as they no longer
comply with the IEEE 802.3 specs.  IEEE 802.3 does not recognize Jumbo
Frames due to the interoperability issues it causes with devices that
do comply with 802.3.

With that said, Jumbo Frames do have a place in segmented environments
where performance between devices on the same LAN segment can benefit
from it (where all have to be able to support Jumbo Frames).
