If the listings data is actually wrong, the proper solution is to get it
fixed. (The old garbage in/garbage out premise.)

Also, make sure that /all/ of your MythTV-using boxes have the proper
time set--use NTP on all MythTV systems. It's possible that you just
have a single backend whose clock is wrong or whatever.

If the channels are delayed on rebroadcast by your cable provider,
though, the situation may get more difficult to fix properly. Using the
start early/end late times as described in the thread will work, but
shouldn't be seen as a long-term fix--after all, if the broadcaster is
currently delaying by 5 minutes, who says they won't sometimes do 4 or 3
or 2 or 1 minute delays off the posted schedules? What you see on this
week's broadcast may not apply to next week's.

If you can verify that the listings are wrong, it may be worth reporting
the issue through the Schedules Direct web site. They can pass the
information to TMS, who can then pressure the broadcasters to fix their
data. (But the whole process can take some time.) Just please make
sure it's actually bad data--and not misconfiguration on your
systems--that's the problem. And it would be nice if you could find out
if the rebroadcast is significantly delayed from the original OTA
broadcast, if you're using cable/satellite.)
