Read the entire thread at
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/195124#195124 or please
don't ever suggest that (2) again. :)

So fix your recording rules. This is *not* a bug, but a
misconfiguration of your system. You're abusing the "Time to record
before start of show (in seconds)" and "Time to record past end of show
(in seconds)" settings.

Kevin is 100% correct. That said, someone else didn't understand
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/wiki/TicketHowTo , so we got
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/6382 (and
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/2604 and
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/3496 ).

Heh, that's the one I linked above. :) See, also, the official ticket
for it at http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/255 . It became a "Feature
Request *With* a Patch", but the changes were deemed too dangerous:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/238199#238199 .
