For what it's worth I've been running the 0.22 ebuilds since late
November and they're much nicer than 0.21 was. VDPAU is a lifesaver
for playing high def h.264 video. I _did_ have to fix my database
using the partial restore method before the upgrade would succeed, but
I didn't lose any recordings. I did have to reconfigure the whole
thing.

To minimize downtime, I added 0.22 to package.keywords, then did a

emerge --onlydeps mythtv

to build the dependencies, then did

emerge --buildpkgonly mythtv

and finally

emerge -k mythtv
