I know, I am the one that shared that article on the list. But the
content providers and cable companies are going to fight to keep that
locked down as much as possible, even if the FCC ever actually does do
anything about it. They aren't going to just open up and allow a
device that outputs a digital file with no DRM. This device will be
designed to work with Windows Media Center and the DRM that CableCard
has approved of for all of the other cable card tuners in existence.
Granted SiliconDust will probably do a better job of it, but they
aren't going to get the CableCard people to free up their content.
