Hi,
   Unless I'm just seeing it you don't state whether you're using the
0.21 version or the newer 0.22 version. For what it's worth, just
reading this list and knowing the problems I've had with MythTV over
the years, I'm still using 0.21 and expect I will for maybe the next 6
months to 1 year before daring to use 0.22.

   We find 0.21 very stable. True, there's lots of neat, new futures
in 0.22 but keeping the family happy is the number 1 requirement
around here.

   I cannot comment on Firewire recording other than saying that my
reading here would leave me to believe it's VERY hit and miss. Works
for some. Doesn't for others...

   Good luck with whatever path you take, but if you haven't tried
o.21 you might give it a shot.
