[mythtv-users] Speaking of the NVidia GT220 card...

I bought the Gigabyte GeForce GT220 before Xmas and it does work wonderfully for _graphics_ using vdpau but the hdmi sound for this card remains unsupported officially by Alsa up until now...

I know that the Alsa & Nvidia devs have figured out how to make it work (around new-year's time). Anybody know anything about this new fix coming to Myth users any time in the near future?

If I could use ny current hdmi cable instead of fishing a 25' VGA cable and separate sound cable from my Myth PC in the basement to my flat panel TV above the fireplace in the living room directly above, it would certainly make my life easier... I'm also hesitant to embark on this major (temporary?) rewiring adventure if the hdmi sound fix is just around the corner!

I'm sure other (potential) owners of the GT220 would be interested in this too.

Thanks,
Daniel Born
