OK, checked the logs, I'm getting the following errors:

Master:
2010-01-22 10:57:43.352 MythSocket(ffffffffb018b490:51):
readStringList: Error, timed out after 30000 ms.
2010-01-22 10:57:43.353 Slave backend: UbuntuStick no longer connected


Slave:
2010-01-22 10:57:07.174 Connecting to master server: 192.168.1.6:6543
2010-01-22 10:57:07.329 Connected successfully
2010-01-22 10:57:13.353 MythSocket(98c3228:0): writeStringList: Error,
invalid string list.

and so on and so forth.

Master and slave are both running 0.22-fixes 23193 from the Avenard repo.
