afaiac, it's not a bug if it's doing what the OS is designed to do or
it's malfunctioning because I jacked up the install, or because I don't
know what I'm doing...
I'm hesitant to file bug reports since I tend to tinker way more than
the average user, bjorking things up until they work.

There were scripts available to do this since way back 0.19 days.
I never installed them since I found mythbackend to be rock solid.
