To tell you the truth, in all my years working with MySQL (as a
programmer and with stuff like MythTV) at least when it comes to
differing versions of MySQL 5.0 and MyISAM tables, I've never had a
problem porting file tables as-is between versions, even between
Windows and Linux...though I know that in theory it's not supposed to
be a good idea.

InnoDB may be a different story.
